Early Contractor Involvement - Aquatic, Health, and Wellbeing Centre
Tender ID: 569229
Tender Details
Tender Description
This RFT is for Early Contractor Involvement for the George Town Aquatic, Health and Wellbeing Centre.
The project will be delivered via a two-stage approach:
Stage 1 - Contractor Advice Works
This will require the Contractor to work closely with, and to provide advice to, the Design Delivery Team.
Advice obtained during Stage 1 will assist completion of the design documentation and enable initiatives to be assessed and included, if agreed, in the final documentation, thereby potentially avoiding the need for revised documentation and ongoing value management and the associated costs.
The completion of Stage 1 will require the Contractor to provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) to complete the construction works under Stage 2 - Main Works Proposal. This will be undertaken at an agreed point in document development.
Stage 2 – Main Works Proposal / Construction of Main Works
This is an optional stage which will proceed if the Council accepts the Contractor’s Main Works Proposal by issuing a notice to proceed. If so, Stage 2 will consist of the delivering the Construction Works Package. In the event the Contractor’s Main Works Proposal is not accepted, the Council may return to market and tender the works under a traditional fixed lump sum arrangement.
