Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General (The Office) is seeking assistance from a vendor to implement Windows 365 Virtual Desktops for a small number of users.
The Office currently has a Microsoft 365 tenancy and utilises E5 licenses including Entra-connected Windows 11 Enterprise laptops, use of Intune to enforce policies and Defender for endpoint security.
The Office has two use-case scenarios in mind that this implementation will seek to address:
- A smaller group of users who will login several days a week and might expect 100% could be logged in at the same time.
- A larger group of users who, for most of the year, may only login once a week or less and rarely expect to have more than 10% logged in at the same time. However, twice a year they are more likely to login each day for a couple of weeks and might expect 100% logged in at the same time.
The Office requires assistance in the following:
- Determining appropriate licensing for each use-case scenario.
- Setting up the W365 VDI with the Windows 11 SOE that meets the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Information Security Manual controls, Essential 8 guidelines and existing Office policies.
- Support during Pilot deployment.
Respondents will be considered according to following criteria:
- Experience in deploying Windows 365 (please provide examples and/or references)
- Experience with Microsoft’s Intune and Defender policies
- Technicians with appropriate security clearance (Baseline minimum, NV1 preferred)
- Experience supporting government agencies
