We're inviting artists, architects and/or designers to create a concept for transforming and activating Redfern Terrace. The lead creative for the project must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.

This is the first stage of a 5 stage process. The expression of interest process will shortlist individuals or teams to participate in a subsequent selective request for tender (RFT).

Objective

Redfern Terrace could become an artwork where historic material is creatively integrated into the space. Contemporary and archival material could be presented and interpreted in several ways, and subject to future funding, this could change under the auspices of different artists.

The building also lends itself to programs of artist residencies, workshops or other types of activation, which could be managed as part of a separate contract in the future.
