Burdekin Shire Council Mayor Pierina Dalle Cort encouraged local creatives to take advantage of the funding opportunity.

"The Regional Arts Development Fund plays a vital role in supporting and growing our local arts community,” Mayor Dalle Cort said.

“It enables individuals and groups to develop and showcase their talents, while also enriching the cultural landscape of the Burdekin.

"It’s fantastic to see so many successful projects come to life through RADF funding, and we encourage anyone with an artistic vision to apply."

Projects funded in previous rounds include Burdekin Potters, which hosted a pottery workshop focused on creating the Frogmouth Owl form; Burdekin Singers and Theatre Company, which contributed to the production of Back to the 80’s at the Burdekin Theatre; and the Burdekin Shire Youth Council, which supported the 2025 Fast Track Talent Showcase and workshops.
