Design and construction of five single span pedestrian bridges for river crossings on the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk.

Project goals

To provide safe passage across rivers for hikers on the Escarpment Great Walk.

Scope

The Principal is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced organisations for the: Design and construction of pedestrian walk bridges, on the Dorrigo Escarpment Great Walk (DEGW). The 46km walk runs through rugged and remote country in the Dorrigo and Bindarri National Parks. The bridges are located in remote and environmentally sensitive areas along the trail. Access to the bridge sites will likely be by helicopter or on foot. Design and construction methodology must align with NPWS design principles and comply with applicable building codes and environmental standards and management plans, included with this tender.

Pre-Tender Briefing and Pre-Tender Meeting

Attendance at the online pre-tender briefing is a mandatory requirement.

Attendance at the on-site pre-tender meeting is not mandatory. However, tenderers must have attended the mandatory online briefing and have registered their attendance in writing to attend the on-site meeting.

The Contact Person for RFT enquiries will be Rod Wisely for the period 10/10/2024 to 14/10/2024, Frank Petherbridge will resume the role of RFT Contact Person for the remainder of the Tender Period.
