Tender Description
A grant of up to $5000 to promote and manage an event/project/activity that celebrates and/or recognises Aboriginal culture, language history and achievements as part of Australia Day celebrations in 2025.
Please note the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet (CM&C) with representation from across the Northern Territory will assess applications and provide recommendations to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs to allocate funds.The event/activity and or project that you are applying for funding towards must be completed during the period 18 January - 2 March 2025.
Grants may be used to cover the following:
• venue hire and equipment costs
• cost to promote the event/activity/project
• catering costs (excludes alcohol)
• other activity costs if outlined in application
Funds cannot be made available for:
• Provision of alcohol
• Any activity of a political nature
• Any activity of a commercial or business nature
• Any fundraising events
• Purchase of capital equipment
• Funding for projects that have already been completed or items that have been provided or previously purchased
• Projects by organisations established for profit or financial gain to members
• Interstate/overseas travel
• Any other items that the panel assess as not meeting the aims and objectives of the grants.
Funds for wages or salaries will only be provided where significant community benefit can be demonstrated.
