Tender Description
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is Victoria's lead government agency for sustainable management of water resources, climate change, bushfires, public land, forests and ecosystems.
The Department leads the state's effort to do more with less. This means using our limited natural resources sustainably while improving productivity. DEECA also ensures Victoria’s ecological systems remain sustainable. The Department seeks to provide leadership in the application of sustainability principles in its buildings.
The Department has a strong regional presence. It provides regional leadership for DEECA’s role in the sustainability of the natural and built environment across urban and rural regional Victoria, including:
- Actively shaping, communicating and delivering state and regional policy;
- Influencing the way communities interact with Victoria's natural, built and cultural assets;
- Coordinating and leading service delivery;
- Managing emergencies;
- Managing public assets sustainably;
- Focussing on service excellence.
The Department is seeking submissions from suitably qualified, licenced and experienced organisation to provide DEECA with fixed lump sum works proposal for the removal of an underground petroleum storage system and related soil remediation / reinstatement works at 44-46 Aitken Street in Alexandra.
