Tender Description
Council is seeking quotations from suitably experienced and qualified suppliers to perform minor work and supply goods within the Penrith Local Government Area in relation to the Woodriff Lane Creative Lighting Project. The Project seeks to fabricate and install new creative lighting treatments to four (4) existing light poles and utilise the existing frames to create a longer-term solution (5+ years). Penrith City Council uses creative lighting to make public spaces more attractive, reinforce a sense of place and provide an opportunity for creative and artistic expression as well as support the development of the night time economy by creating safer point-to-point connectivity.
Scope of Work
- Deliver a cohesive creative lighting treatment to four (4) existing light poles in Woodriff Lane, utilising the existing frames in place. The creative lighting treatment should consider a lifespan of 5+ years and withstand all weather conditions.
- Identify and work with a local Penrith artist to support the design of the creative lighting treatment. The design should consider a connection to the Penrith Local Government Area.
- Assess and review the current lighting and power supply in Woodriff Lane and deliver an upgraded lighting system to RGBW lighting to provide the ability to control and modify light colours as desired.
- Installation of the new creative lighting treatment and upgraded lighting system.
Requirements
- A topline schedule of works and tasks to support delivery of the project.
- A detailed breakdown of fees for each task/item to support a thorough assessment of the proposal
- A clear outline of the final product to be delivered (the creative lighting treatment), and
- Create a decorative yet functional lighting solution.
Please note that the project should be completed in full by 31 March 2024 however there is scope to deliver the project by 30 April 2025 dependent on the nature of the creative lighting treatment identified. You will be required to include a preliminary program showing how the work will be achieved in this timeframe, including allowances for holidays
