Tablelands Regional Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for Priors Creek Stage 1 SPB Construction Management as described in more detail in Part 5 Scope.
SCOPE:
Background:
TRC have awarded Tender T-TRC2023-12 (Contract is AS4000-1997 Construct Only Standard Risk) Priors Creek Development to Northern Civil Earthworks Pty Ltd. Stage 1 Separable Portion A (SPA) has been underway since January 2024 and is likely to be complete in November 2024.
Separable Portion P (SPB) was ordered in September, with possession of site yet to be awarded.
The key deliverables of Stage 1 SPB include:
• Creation of a new ‘urban plaza’ at the end of Vernon Street as a key activity node for outdoor markets and gathering as an entrance forecourt into the PCD.
• Creation of new Amphitheatre and stage.
• Streetscape improvement measures along Vernon Street and Jack Street.
• Improve parking opportunities generally for visitors and tourists with Recreational Vehicles and Caravans.
• Creation of a new ‘Priors Creek Promenade’; a shared pedestrian and cycle walkway along the old railway track alignment.
• Substantial landscaping improvements throughout the Priors Creek corridor.
• Extensive parkland infrastructure including Shelters, BBQ, seating, public amenities, power facilities for markets, digital sign, etc.
• Relocation of existing mountain bike shelter and fitness equipment.
• Installation of 2 new toilet blocks and demolition of the Vernon Street toilet block.
Through this RFT, TRC are seeking quotations from external consultants to fulfill the Superintendent, Superintendent’s Representative and Inspector roles under the AS4000 Contract. The Engagment is expected to commence on 1 November 2024 and go until 30 June 2025.
