Tender Description
The Department is responsible for the management, operation and removal of waste from 13 waste oil stations along the South Australian coast:
• Beachport Boatyard.
• Blackfellows Caves.
• Cape Jaffa.
• Carpenters Rocks.
• Thevenard Wharf Ceduna.
• Coffin Bay.
• North Arm.
• Port MacDonnell Boat Yard.
• Robe.
• Southend.
• Streaky Bay.
• Wallaroo.
• Warooka.
The waste oil stations provide a depository for waste oil and related items produced by the fishing industry. These waste oil stations were installed by the SA Government, in conjunction with the Federal Government Coasts and Clean Seas Program, with the aim of minimising potential pollution of the marine environment because of the operations of the fishing industry.
The Department is seeking services to collect waste and waste oils in the listed stations for a contract term of three years.
