Whitsunday Regional Council (Principal) is undertaking the interim covering of its legacy cell (Works) at its Bowen Landfill (Site) located at 908 Bowen Developmental Road, Bowen, Queensland 4805.

The Works involve the supply, lay, and compaction of an interim clay cover layer over an approximate 48,358m2 area. The area has been split into two sections with Area A requiring a 300mm cover layer and Area B requiring a 200mm cover layer (due to already having a residual clay cover).
