Tender Description
The Creative Fellowships and Residencies grant category supports NT artists to undertake a planned period of professional development, research, or knowledge exchange to benefit their own professional practice and the development of the arts, culture and creative industries in the NT.
Who Can Apply

Individuals
- up to $20,000 per applicant for early and mid-career artists within the first 10 years of their professional arts practice
- up to $40,000 per applicant for established artists. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years’ arts practice in the NT
Individual applicants must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residence status.
- over 18 years of age
- a current resident of the NT
- if you are an individual registered as a Sole Trader with an active ABN you should apply in GrantsNT as an Organisation.
Individuals cannot apply for funding on behalf of another individual, unless they are supporting a person with access requirements and have evidence of consent from that person.

Before you apply
Before you submit your application, you should
- Ensure you have no outstanding acquittals or reports with the NT Government and are compliant with your regulatory authority (if applicable)
- Read the Arts Grants Program guidelines in full
- Speak to an Arts Development Officer to check if you are eligible to apply and if the grant category is suitable for your proposed activity
- Define your activity (what is it, how do you want to do it, who is involved), and develop a project plan if required
- Prepare a realistic and balanced budget that demonstrates value for money and get the necessary quotes. Refer to the Budget and Budget Support Material section of the guidelines
- Ensure appropriate consultation and obtain permissions and acknowledgements. Refer to the Aboriginal Cultural Protocols section of the guidelines
- Where relevant, obtain working with children authorisation. Refer to the Working with Children Protocols section of the guidelines
- Ensure your application considers the latest Chief Health Officer (CHO) Directions
