Killick’s Bridge is located approximately 36km from Wagga Wagga, approximately 270m West of the Tumbarumba Road on Killick’s Road.
The project requires delivery of one new, single lane, concrete, steel/concrete or composite bridge to replace the existing timber bridge. It shall be designed to have a 100 yr life with minimal annual maintenance and carry the loads in accordance with SM1600 and AS 5100, for this duration.
The work under the Contract includes but is not limited to the following:
a) Demolition and removal of existing timber bridge and abutments, signage and other features as required.
b) Design and construction of a temporary access at track around Killicks bridge during the period of construction.
c) Design and Construction of the new bridge including abutments, road re-alignment (if required), signage, erosion protection of the creek and otherwise as requested in this PPR.
d) Investigation of the project site and any further technical studies required for the safe design of the bridge and for permit approval requirements to relevant Statutory bodies.
e) Relocation of all services in consultation with relevant authorities/utilities (if required).
f) Setting up safety measures on site.
g) Protect all adjacent private property and infrastructure including all private fencing, approach and adjoining roads and existing services, from damage, and rectifying any damage caused by the Contractor, its subcontractors, employees or agents. Re-instate any permanent fencing required to be removed during the course of the works.
