Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified consultant to assist Council with a review of our asset information, and complete a valuation for park, open space and outdoor recreation assets.

Council is responsible for the management of 391 parks, open spaces and recreation reserves. Of this amount, 177 sites contain one or more infrastructure items. There are a total of 2,582 unique assets across the sites managed by Council. A detailed register is attached to provide a list of sites and the assets within each site.

Council intends to engage a consultant to:

• verify the existence of all registered assets,
• ensure the register is complete and correctly records all site assets,
• to verify the condition of existing assets,
• to identify and report necessary treatments to maintain these assets,
• to review and update the value of these assets.
