Mornington Peninsula Shire invites experienced contractors/firms to tender for the Rehabilitation works for the Former Crib Point Landfill Capping Project at Lens Recreational Reserve (2, Lens Street, Bittern VIC 3918).

The construction works include, but are not limited to, rectifying areas where the compacted clay liner (CCL) has been reduced to below 500 mm in thickness, addressing surface water pooling on the cap, applying a topping cover layer of soil material over the newly installed geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) and rectified areas, managing the steeper slopes on the eastern and western batters, and removing selected trees that pose a risk to the integrity of the CCL. All works will be carried out in accordance with the appropriate Australian standards, as well as the Mornington Peninsula Shire standards and technical specifications provided.
