New Plymouth District Council is initiating our tender process for the next stage of constructing the Te Pae o te Rangi, the Waitara to Bell Block Walkway extension of New Plymouth's Coastal Walkway. We are inviting businesses to participate in this tender process and contribute their local knowledge, innovation and expertise to this project.

The first stage of this process is to register your interest and respond to the attached Response Form - Request for Information.

Please provide the Council with information about your business and your capabilities (the work you could provide) and submit your completed response form via online forum or to procurementadmin@npdc.govt.nz

Please note, the Request for Proposal process for this stage of the project is anticipated to be released on approximately 10 December 2024. To be invited to participate you must respond to this RFI.We're putting a call out to contractors who are interested in working on the next stage of this exciting community project - Coastal Walkway Extension, Te Pae o te Rangi.

We are currently working on the first part at Otupaiia and want to start work on the next stage in March/April.

Stage 1b covers works from Otupaiia (Marine Park Waitara) to Brown/Tate Road intersection. We are looking for people/companies who can provide any of the following:

• Earthworks.
• Pavement and surfacing.
• Raised timer walkways.
• Traffic services.
• Service relocation.
• Drainage.
• Landscaping.
• Timber and concrete rest areas.
• Furniture.
• And fencing
