This sourcing activity aims to establish a comprehensive Rate Card for all of MW’s Cathodic Protection System (CCPS) requirements over a 36-month term, with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods.

The scope of this project includes the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of MW’s Cathodic Protection Systems, primarily focused on mild steel pipelines and service reservoirs—encompassing water, sewage, and drainage assets. Additionally, the tender will address the monitoring of stray traction through the Victorian Electrolysis Committee (VEC) and the mitigation of Low Frequency Induction (LFI) and Earth Potential Rise (EPR), both of which can create hazardous voltages in water mains.

The RFQ will be hosted on Melbourne Water’s eProcurement system, which is called Zycus. Respondents to the RFQ will be required to SELF-REGISTER on the Zycus portal in order to access the RFQ documentation. It is strongly recommended that you use this advance notice period to self-register your Zycus profile to avoid delays in viewing the RFQ material upon launch.
