Expressions of interest are now open for Event Sponsorship support from Council for the 2025/26 financial year.

Council is able to offer financial support for local events in line with its Sponsorship Policy.

Under the policy, sponsorship preference is given to major events that can match funding dollar-for-dollar, attract visitors, and create opportunities for the local economy.

Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, encouraged all event holders to view the policy and see if they can benefit.

"Council is always happy to help where we can, so if you've got a significant event planned for the coming financial year, be sure to see if you can obtain sponsorship," said Ms Merton.

"The policy is only 7 pages long, it's definitely worth giving it a quick read to see if your event could qualify for assistance."

Expressions of interest can be lodged online until November 29, 2024, and application forms can be found.
