South Metropolitan TAFE (SM TAFE) requires the provision of gardening services at the following campuses:

Group One: Bentley, Carlisle, Thornlie and Armadale Church Avenue campus and Armadale Commerce Avenue campus.

Group Two: Jandakot, Kwinana, Munster, Rockingham, Murdoch and Fremantle.

Group Three: Mandurah.

Respondents may submit Offers for one or more Groups, however the Offer must cover all campuses within the Groups submitted for.

SM TAFE aims to provide students, staff, and visitors with a clean healthy environment conducive to learning. The gardening Contractor/s plays an important part in setting the standards.

SM TAFE’s campuses are quite different in nature and will require a variety of gardening activities. The landscaping and garden areas at each campus provide valuable amenity and enhance the learning and training activities being undertaken. SM TAFE seeks to provide a neat, tidy and well-kept appearance at all times. The Contractor/s will be expected to consolidate and enhance the beautification intent of the current landscaping undertaken at all campuses.

Site Visit

Respondents are required to attend the mandatory briefings and site inspection for each Group category they intend to submit an Offer for.

The Respondent is requested to confirm its attendance by no later than 4:00 PM, Western Australia Standard Time (WST) on the 15 January 2025 by contacting Timothy Sim at timothy.sim@finance.wa.gov.au.

Failure to attend the mandatory briefing and site inspection for the Group category the Respondent intends to submit an Offer for, will result in the Offer for that Group being ineligible for further consideration.

1. Group One and Two (Day 1)

A mandatory briefing and site inspection will be conducted at the following campuses. Respondents are to meet at the main administration reception. The times below are approximate, based on travel time:

Date: 21 January 2025

• Group One - Bentley at 9:30am WAST for Group One mandatory briefing followed by site inspection;
• Group One - Carlisle at 10.30am WAST (approximately);
• Group One - Thornlie at 11.30am WAST (approximately);
• Group Two - Murdoch at 1.30pm WAST (approximately) for Group Two mandatory briefing followed by site inspection; and
• Group Two - Munster at 3.00pm WAST (approximately).

2. Group Two and Three (Day 2)

A mandatory briefing and site inspection will be conducted at the following campuses. Respondents are to meet at the main administration reception. The times below are approximate, based on travel time:

Date: 22 January 2025

• Group Two - Rockingham at 10.00am WAST; and
• Group Three - Mandurah at 11.30am WAST (approximately) for Group Three mandatory briefing followed by site inspection.

3. Campuses excluded from mandatory site inspection

Site inspections will not be conducted for the Armadale (both Church Avenue and Commerce Avenue Campuses), Fremantle, Kwinana and Jandakot campuses. If any Respondents require a visit to any of these campuses, please contact the Projects and Contracts Manager, Brian Blechynden at Brian.Blechynden@smtafe.wa.edu.au. Any Respondent found to be on campus site without prior agreement will be deemed to be unauthorised.

Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
