The Shire of East Pilbara ("Principal") currently has a complex IT environment with duplicated systems resulting in lack of consistency, integration and visibility of software. There is a requirement for improvement in establishing automation and to ensure single sources of information are accessible, and an ease of use.

It is the intention of the Principal to replace the current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SynergySoft) where the new ERP will be the Core / Central Information System for corporate processing and reporting. It will incorporate the latest technologies, a user-friendly interface, proven capabilities, automation and workflows, intuitive integrated systems and has responsive services using a SaaS model application. The implementation will adopt pre-configured business processes that the supplier has successfully implemented elsewhere in Local Government in Western Australia.
