Gippsland Water invite contractors experienced in the trenchless construction of large diameter pipelines to provide details of their expertise and resources to install a large diameter pipeline bore as part of a much larger

pipeline project to construct a distribution main around the western edge of Traralgon.

Gippsland Water is intending to advertise early in 2025 a tender for the construction of a 4.9km long (80% DN750, 20% DN300) water distribution trunk main on the western edge of Traralgon. A section of this distribution main involves trenchless construction of a DN1200 reinforced concrete jacking pipe (pipe sleeve) approximately 162m in length bored in one continuous shot from the southern side of the Gippsland Rail Line to the northern side of the Princes Highway, which is adjacent to the rail line. A DN900 HDPE water main is then to be installed within the DN1200 reinforced concrete pipe sleeve.

As part of the tender process for the construction of the 4.9km long water distribution main Gippsland Water is considering including in the tender a pre-qualified list of nominated boring subcontractors that tenderers must select from for the boring works described above that will be incorporated into the final contract.

Participation in this expression of interest (EOI) process is no guarantee that invitees will be included in the pre-qualified list of nominated boring subcontractors or that any such list will be included in the tender for the construction of the 4.9km long distribution main. Gippsland Water will make a final decision on the inclusion of a nominated list of pre-qualified boring subcontractors, at its sole discretion, prior to tendering for the construction of the 4.9km long distribution main.
