Tender Description
The council seeks tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors to redevelop the Community House at 7 Wellington Street, Montmorency, as part of the Banyule City Council's Capital Works Program 2024-2025.
Banyule City Council appointed Davidson Architects to redevelop the existing Community House. After meeting with stakeholders, the consultant developed new floor plans to meet the building regulations. The proposed plans include changing the existing space activities & adding new accessible car parking spaces at the front of the house.
The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:
• Mobilisation and site establishment.
• Inspect site and consult existing site documentation and Council Officers to confirm the scope of work, identify site latent conditions, and be informed of any discrepancies between documented information and physical systems or site conditions.
• Demonstrate compliance with the specifications.
• Prepare and submit for approval drawings, equipment and material list, installation program and safety management plan.
• Set out of works.
• Ensuring the works are undertaken safely and in accordance with all Council, Melbourne Water and statutory safety requirements.
• Location and protection of any and all underground and above-ground services in the works area.
• Demolition wall, partitions, wall finishes, false ceiling, floor finishes stair, steps, doors, shower, ramp, kitchen cabinets, cooker, etc as shown in the architectural drawing No A200.
• Remove all the internal Asbestos as shown in the Division 5 Asbestos report & submit a clearance certificate.
• Apply abolish form to the authority to remove the redundant gas meter.
• Create two accessible car parking spaces at the front of the house. The work is included new Asphalt & with long-life thermoplastic paint line marking.
• Create a pedestrian entry from the street to the main entrance. The work is included creating a gate in the existing fence. The work includes new concrete paving &kerbs from the street to the main entrance.
