The local council has identified a significant issue with continuous ponding on the road carriageway of Gibson Avenue, particularly at the Bartel Boulevard intersection. This ponding not only damages the asphalt but also poses a nuisance to residents and road users in the area. The problem has been substantiated through modeling conducted in the Draft Urban Stormwater Management Plan (SMP), which highlights the need for immediate intervention to improve drainage and road safety.

The primary objective of this project is to mitigate ponding depths at the Gibson Avenue and Bartel Boulevard intersection and extend this improvement further north along Bartel Boulevard. By addressing these drainage issues, the project aims to enhance road safety, extend the lifespan of the asphalt, and minimize disturbances to local residents.

The Council will enter into a Works Agreement for these Services with the successful Tenderer.
