The Gilgandra Shire is a local government area in the Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is located adjacent to the junction of the Newell, Oxley and Castlereagh highways and is approximately 400km or 5 hours' drive by car from Sydney CBD.

Gilgandra Shire Council (Council) is an organisation that utilises and relies upon Information & Communications Technology (ICT).

Council currently owns and operates aged and disability care facilities as well as providing several community-based care programs which include:

- Residential Aged Care - Cooee Lodge Hostel

- Indigenous specific Residential Aged Care - Jack Towney Hostel

- Dementia care - Cooee Lodge Hostel

- Retirement Village - Cooee Retirement Village

- Disability Housing Support - Orana Living

- Commonwealth Home Support Packages

- Meals on Wheels

- Community Transport

- Home Care Packages

- NDIS

Council has recently upgraded its core network with all of the critical Council sites now connected via a private fibre optic network and associated high speed switches.

ABOUT THE TENDER: Gilgandra Shire Council are seeking responses from suitably experienced vendors to upgrade the server infrastructure. Council is a DELL site and wants to refresh this infrastructure with DELL servers and storage only.

This is not an open tender for Cloud solutions or alternate hardware vendors.
