Specialist advice is required on a future IT operating model to ensure that it reflects industry best practice, is capable of supporting the delivery of the Digital Strategy, Technology Strategy, transformation and reform programs of work and continues to deliver a fit for purpose core enabling service for AUSTRAC’s operations.

The supplier is required to provide a principal advisor (director level or above) with proven, specialised knowledge and significant experience in IT planning and, operating model development and change management.

The advisor will:

• Apply an understanding of industry approaches to IT operating models and the operating context and dynamic within the APS to support the provision of advice and guidance
• Draw on expertise to provide practical advice, insight and guidance to the National Manager, ITS and Chief Operating Officer about the design of the operating model
• Apply critical thinking to proposals, plans and artefacts and provide early identification of risks, challenges and opportunities; and
• Act as a sounding board and provide contestability to the existing thinking of the National Manager, ITS and the Chief Operating Officer.
