Ferny Grove Bowls, Sports & Community Club Inc. is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and dedicated catering professionals to operate within The Grove Sports Club. We are a community licensed club with bowls greens, volleyball courts, social groups, and gaming area, located at 20 Tramway Street in the suburb of Ferny Grove on Brisbane’s north-west.

The facility includes a full fitted commercial kitchen on ground level with a function room which seats 140 and a bistro which seats 100. These rooms can be combined as one large space. We are looking for competitively priced, quality meal offerings that will satisfy our club members and attract more people to visit the club. Other facilities include beer garden, lounge, bar, keno, tab, gaming machines, and children’s room off the bistro.

In addition to regular club activities, the facility is promoted as a venue for a variety of functions, including wedding receptions, birthday parties, memorial services, business, and sport group luncheons. Full catering services will be required for these events. We envision establishing a sub-lease agreement where the lease cost will be a weekly fee including power and water. Supply of gas bottles would be organized directly with the supplier at your cost.

The club is a licensed facility with operating hours of Monday 11am to 8pm, Tuesday-Friday 11am to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 9pm, Sunday 11am to 7pm

Please note that functions may extend the regular hours of the club. The club holds a Community Club License with trading hours up to 9am to 12am on Monday to Sunday (excluding Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, Good Friday, and Anzac Day).

While the kitchen will be available for any external catering during the operating hours, priority must be given to the Clubs bistro on a Wednesday and Friday evening and for any organized functions.
