Tender Description
Plastic Ware consumables are covered under eight different categories as below:
- Petri Dishes;
- Flasks & Bottles
- Pipettes;
- Pipette Tips and Racks;
- Well Plates;
- Tubes & Drosophila
- Filters and Strainers
- Labels and Chemicals
Some of the plasticware consumables are also listed in the Health Purchasing Victoria (HPV) contract for “Pathology Equipment and Associated Consumables” (HPVC2017-042). However, HPV has provided an exemption to Peter Mac for this category. The reason for exemption is due to the fact that research departments are frequently required to identify and source from new suppliers in an unpredictable and urgent manner due to the competitive nature of their operations.
Peter Mac last tendered for this category in 2019 and established a fixed price contract with a panel of six suppliers.
