The City of Sydney invites expressions of interest to create a visual identity system for Sydney New Year's Eve.
The celebration reaches an audience of more than 425 million people worldwide and over 1 million people attend around the harbour foreshore. Research shows the event has a direct economic impact of $280 million on Sydney.
For Sydney New Year's Eve, we aim to:
create a positive, memorable and inspiring event for people attending and watching remotely
produce a safe, accessible and inclusive event for diverse audiences, including businesses
attract new domestic and international tourists, while raising Sydney's international profile
boost the recognition of our role in the event.
Sydney New Year's Eve 2025 will introduce a new visual identity to be used for at least 3 years. The visual identity must achieve the project objectives listed in the brief and must also include core elements further detailed in specifications.
