Tender Description
USS Providers play an important role in the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM) ecosystem by providing the interface that UAS operators and other users will use to access UTM services.
In late 2025, Airservices Australia will roll out the FIMS which will provide back-end data exchange and decision-making capabilities to support initial UTM services. For these services to be available to end users, at least one USS needs to be connected to FIMS and delivering UTM services within this timeframe. To achieve this, an initial onboarding round is being conducted to select up to three (3) USS providers.
These USSs must meet the requirements set out in the Statement of Requirement to deliver all initial UTM Services and be publicly available to UAS operators from FIMS Go Live (currently planned November 2025).
