Tender Description
The Shire of Carnarvon is committed to fostering the development of local artists and strengthening the regional arts community. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide professional development opportunities, we are excited to offer a unique mentorship program, where a local artist will have the chance to work alongside accomplished mural artist Tayla (Meraki Boho). Tay will be returning to Carnarvon to continue her work with youth as part of the Future is Me program, following the success of the Egan Street mural project.
This mentorship opportunity is designed to enhance local skills, build capacity, and provide hands-on experience in the process of creating public art, including mural design, installation, and the technical aspects of working on large-scale projects. Through this program, we hope to offer valuable insight into the professional art-making process while supporting the creative growth of Carnarvon’s artistic community.
