Tender Description

This Contract is for the installation of a new water source for irrigating purposes at Murtin, Lewana and Parade Road POS. This is to include but not be limited to the following:

  • The construction and development of two (2) superficial aquifer production bores.
  • Equipping of both production bores with pumps of suitable capacity to maintain the necessary total flow requirement, in addition to compensating for pressure losses incurred via the transfer of water through pipe work, valves and an iron filtration system.
  • Assembly of a discharge manifold to each pump, incorporating non-return and isolation valves, flow meters, flow switches and other ancillary apparatus.
  • Transfer pipe work (PE100), extending from each manifold to the proposed iron removal filter.
  • Supply and installation of a genuine Elliott's EIF30 iron removal filter and associated pipe work, valves, electrical controls, back wash facility and enclosure.
  • Tank fill pipe work (PE100) extending from the filter to the storage tank, including necessary valves and other connections.
  • Modification of existing electrical infrastructure to facilitate the necessary power requirements for the pumps, filter and control system components.
  • Provision of a control circuit to allow the automated filling of the storage tank direct from each production bore.
  • The construction of a perimeter fence surrounding the compound to ensure security of the new infrastructure.
