The Shire of East Pilbara, invites Tenders from suitably experienced Contractors to replace and improve the existing concrete floodway at Muccan Shay Gap Road.

The Principal is responsible for maintaining the Muccan Shay Gap Road, including the floodway crossing through the De Grey River riverbed at approximate SLK 28.04 to 28.25. The existing concrete floodway crossing has deteriorated to the point where replacement of, and improvements to, the entire length of existing concrete slabs, approximately 210 metres long, are required.

2.2 Timing of Works

The Construction Works may only commence once the river is no longer in flood, following the upcoming wet season. Therefore the Principal has not specified an absolute completion date. The Construction Works must be completed within two and a half (2.5) months from the date that the Contractor commences these Works. The duration of the Works will be guided by the successful Tenderer's updated program schedule.

Tenderers must provide, as part of their Tender submission, a detailed time schedule of the works from the date of receiving the Letter of Award from the Principal, up to and including Practical Completion.
