Project goals

The NSW Ministry of Health is looking for a talented Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist to create an exclusive digital artwork to be used as branding for NSW Health’s Aboriginal Workforce programs and activities and will be used to rebrand the Stepping Up online resource. The artwork should reflect all NSW Aboriginal people and landscapes.

Our Aboriginal Workforce Composition Policy reflects our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable organisation where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff are valued, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across NSW are provided with culturally safe and appropriate health care.

Scope

Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Cultural Storytelling and Authenticity: How effectively the artwork reflects the narratives, traditions, or values of the Aboriginal workforce.
• Aesthetic Quality and Visual Impact: The overall visual appeal, use of colour, and composition. This will also assess the potential of the artwork to resonate with a wide audience.
• Alignment with Existing Themes: 'Endless Opportunities for Professional and Personal Growth,' highlighting diverse pathways for development, including education, mentoring, and innovation within a flexible health care network. The artwork should convey the potential for positive impact and the importance of fostering connections and empowerment.
• Adaptability Across Use Cases: The ability of the artwork to be utilized in various settings with minimal modification (e.g., physical collateral, large/small formats).
• Project Management and Communication: Demonstrated capacity to manage time, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with our team. This includes the ability to work within a budget and adhere to agreed-upon timelines.
• Professionalism and Technical Skills: Evidence of experience in delivering projects of a similar scope, with attention to detail and quality of execution.
