Tender Description

Cairns Regional Council requires cleaning services to business offices, depots and amenities. The objective is to have these business facilities and amenities in good order and condition and to ensure they reflect a positive image of the Principal. Suppliers accordingly need to be experienced in cleaning and maintaining business facilities and amenities and be capable of delivering a consistent high-quality service.

Mandatory Site Inspections: Council invites Tenderers to attend site inspections of the facilities to be cleaned and find out more information about the tender. This also provides Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the Arrangement with Council Officers prior to the Closing Time.

Attendance at the tender briefing is mandatory. One of two session times are available, Tenderers do not need to attend both.

  • Monday 25 November 2024; OR
  • Thursday 28 November 2024.

Commencing at 3.00pm from Martyn Street Depot, 158A Martyn Street, Manunda QLD 4870, followed by a site inspection at 119-145 Spence Street, Portsmith from approximately 4.00pm. Anticipated completion time is 5.00pm. Tenderers must make their own way between sites.

Tenderers are requested to register, please confirm your attendance by RSVP to tender@cairns.qld.gov.au by no later than Friday 22 November 2024.

Failure to attend one of the site inspections will render the Respondent ineligible to submit.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission to the tendering portal, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

 Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserves the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days from the Closing Time.
