Project goals
The objective of this project is to construct a new potable water tank and relevant infrastructure for the Murrin Bridge Aboriginal Community.
Scope
The scope of this project includes the decommissioning of the existing elevated tank and the design and construction of a new potable water tank for Murrin Bridge in the form of a ground level water tank, including associated water supply infrastructure.
The project includes the following key features:
– Demolishing the existing elevated water tank and redundant water booster pump.
– Design and Construction of a new ground level water tank.
– Constructing a small new booster pump station within a shed to provide enough water pressure for the community.
– A new diesel generator near the new pumping station to provide security of supply during power failures.
– Installation of a new flowmeter to accurately measure the flow from Lake Cargelligo Water Tanks.
– Constructing a new security fence around the new infrastructure.
– Replacement of potable pipework within the proposal site to connect the new water tank.
