Tender Description

Collingwood Leisure Centre pool is heated by gas boilers, but the Council aims to eliminate fossil gas, reducing emissions by 304tCO2 per year and achieving net zero through 100% renewable energy.

The Council is seeking an engineering consultant to:

  • develop a plan for electrifying gas-powered equipment utilising heat pump plant as the primary source,
  • develop proposals for cost-effective, innovative energy efficiency solutions. The plan should include considerations for optimal thermal storage, participation in electricity markets, and the installation of a new open-source building management system,
  • improve ventilation in the pool hall, and
  • add cooling to the pool hall
  • utilise heat pumps to heat and cool reception and offices.
