Cessnock City Council (CCC) is seeking to engage a suitable qualified and experienced party to act as Construction Surveillance Officer during construction of the Wollombi Road Upgrade Project (WRUP). It is anticipated that the role will be filled for of 18 months,will potential for extension.

The engagement is anticipated to commence Monday 20th January 2025 with envisaged after 18months in line with the construction program. Currently completion is expected 17 July 2026

The Construction Surveillance Officer must be equipped with:

• A vehicle suitable for access to site. The projects will require travel on the worksite. Vehicles should be capable of being equipped with a flashing light, Two way radio, first aid kit and fire extinguisher

• Mobile phone

• IPad or equivalent with 4G internet access

• Laptop

• All weather PPE – safety vest/helmet/footwear and protective clothing

Additionally, CCC are seeking to procure a Surveillance Officer who have the following:

• At least 10 years’ experience (15+ years desirable) working on road construction (or civil related) projects

• Prior experience managing construction contracts

• Familiarity with Local Council construction specifications

• Prior experience of road construction in urban brownfield environments

• Prior experience of stormwater, watermain, and 3rd Party utility relocations
