Rockhampton Regional Council (Council) is seeking to engage a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to provide a Managed Extended Detection and Response Service (MXDR). Suitable Tenderers will have 24 x 7 x 365 operations coverage, be familiar with delivering managed security services to the Australian market and have local resources within Australia.

Council has just under 1100 staff, approximately 850 of them regularly use IT systems, and the remaining 250 have very minimal IT usage. There are 49 sites with varying staff and equipment levels, approximately 1900 network devices, and 260 servers.

The successful Tenderer must facilitate security monitoring and response use cases for multiple systems outlined in the documents, whilst offering a single pane of glass view of key monitoring elements. Additionally, the proposed service must be fully managed, encompassing design, testing, deployment, 24/7 monitoring, triage of alerts, initial incident response, ongoing maintenance, and support. Council is open to evaluating and potentially changing existing security products to enhance the delivery of the overall MXDR solution.
