Tender Description

The City of Moreton Bay has a network of thousands of kilometres of kerb and channel infrastructure. Our city is one of the fastest developing places in Australia. This creates a consistent and growing demand for new infrastructure and maintenance of existing infrastructure.

In early 2024, we adopted a new procurement framework, allowing us to apply a strategic approach to contracting. Join us on our mission to make doing business with government more efficient.

We invite you to tender to be part of a new preferred supplier arrangement. The arrangement will have a schedule of rates, allowing us to place orders directly with Contractors for construction of concrete kerb and channel. This approach will reduce administrative burden for both of us and deliver best value for our taxpayers by eliminating the need to request quotes for each job.

To construct and maintain infrastructure, our construction crews are looking to partner with businesses like yours.

Typical Works

We anticipate the most common works to be:

- Machine formed concrete kerb and channel typically 50 - 300m sections

- Handwork / link ups to kerb and drainage

For the performance of these works, we will:

- provide surveys and a prepared site

- be Principal on site, Contractors would be working alongside our construction crews

Associated Works

Whilst we don’t anticipate these works to be common, on occasion, where the Contractor has capability and capacity to do so, we may request:

- Removal of existing kerb or channel

- Site prep and survey for new construction

- Construction of driveway or pram ramps

- Install of grate drains

- The Contractor be appointed Principal Contractor and manage subcontractors
