Tender Description
Overview
The Northern Territory Homelessness Strategy aims to strengthen the homelessness system to deliver improved outcomes for Territorians who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
In applying for funding applicants acknowledge their mutual interest in preventing homelessness with particular regard to people experiencing disproportionate housing inequality and disadvantage.
This program has three key priority areas:
- Intervene early to prevent homelessness
- Deliver culturally safe services that focus on people experiencing homelessness
- Building an effective homelessness system.
Supported Crisis Accommodation
Services provide access to stable accommodation that enables an individual or family to receive support to access services in their local community, learn the skills required to manage a tenancy and be supported to access a range of long-term housing, employment, and education options.
(Includes Private Rental Programs where properties are made available through head leasing arrangements).
Recurrent funding from 1 July 2025 will be provided to support the delivery of the funded activities for a 4-year period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2029.
Non-recurrent funding will be provided for one-off innovative and/or service improvement activities as defined in the grant application.
