Tender Description

The Victorian Government will be allocating Crown land sites within 5 Aquaculture Fisheries Reserves in Port Phillip Bay in 2024-25.

The opportunity for interested parties will include 27 Crown lease sites totalling over 368 hectares of high-quality Victorian marine water. Available sites are located in the Pinnace Channel, Grassy Point, Kirk-Point Werribee, Dromana and Bates Point Aquaculture Fisheries Reserves. Most of these areas have many years of proven commercial production success.

Interested parties are invited to register as a supplier at tenders.vic.gov.au to access further documentation and submit applications.

Successful proponents will be awarded long-term Crown leases for 21 years under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978, annually renewable aquaculture licences issued under the Fisheries Act 1995, and consent to use the coastal land under the Marine & Coastal Act 2018.
