Liverpool City Council (LCC) has recently adopted the "Liverpool City Centre Public Domain Master Plan," outlining a ten-year strategy for public domain improvements throughout the Liverpool City Centre. This master plan aims to create a high-quality public space aligned with the planned future development of the city centre, before fostering positive outcomes for the community and the environment.
The upgrade to Macquarie Street is a project identified in Liverpool's Public Domain Masterplan. The project aims to create a north-south pedestrian priority spine to improve access and walkability along the centre of the CBD.
The Council has sought funding from the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program to carry out upgrades on Macquarie Street between Moore Street and Scott Street.
The Works or Services are divided into the two separable portions:
Portion A - The Council is seeking a tender for the installation of multifunction street lighting poles by an ASP 1, Endeavour Energy (EE) accredited contractor.
Portion B - The Council is seeking a tender for the installation of feature lighting by an ASP 1, Endeavour Energy (EE) accredited contractor who specialises in feature lighting and DMX programming.
