Tender Details
Tender Description
New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) is seeking the services of a suitably skilled Consultant (or Consultant Consortium) to deliver Water Course Assessments (WCA) for 12 of the 13 stormwater catchments in the district. This work will feed into the creation of 12 Catchment Management Plans (CMP).
This will require the following:
- Engagement with mana whenua.
- Undertaking a catchment wide watercourse assessment using the Western Bay of Plenty Draft Methodology.
- Participation in opportunities workshop.
- Participation in current state and goal setting workshop.
- Writing the Streams and Waterbodies section of the Catchment Management Plan.
NPDC will lead the creation of CMP, while support from the WCA Consultant will be required to contribute towards some of the CMP content, like definition of the opportunities, and current state and goal setting workshops. Mana whenua is involved in the CMP and WCA processes, so working alongside local hapu will be a requirement. Experience in wider elements of stormwater planning will be valuable.
