Alexandrina Council invites quotes from Respondents for the provision of the Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Capital Maintenance Works

As part of essential pool maintenance, the filter media, located at the Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre is to be replaced every 7 -10 years. This includes the re- application of an epoxy coating to the pool gutters and balance tanks.

Due to the high level of usage of the pools the 7-year point is nominated timing for this scheduled maintenance. Four (4) individual pools, as part of this scope, require the described maintenance.

*Scope of Works*

Further specified in 'RFT000006 – FRAC Capital Works Maintenance – Scope of Works,' ‘RFT000006 – FRAC Capital Works Maintenance – Engineering Plans’ and ‘RFT000006 – FRAC Capital Works Maintenance – Filter Tank Spec.’

The appointed supplier will be responsible for (as per 'RFT000006 – FRAC Capital Works Maintenance – Scope of Works'):

1. Removal and disposal of existing filtration media from the filter tanks. This includes an internal cleaning and wash out of all debris, replacement of all nozzles, manhole o rings and underdrain fittings and installation of new course and fine graded class media (as per manufacturer’s recommendations)
2. Epoxy coating of pool gutters and balance tanks
3. The removal and replacement of the tile expansion joint silicon caulking

Emptying and refilling to be identified and planned in consultation with FRAC personnel.

*Tender Site Briefing*

All tenderers are required to attend a site briefing, scheduled during the first week of the tender process. This will allow for:

• A thorough inspection of the plant and the condition of the gutters and balance tanks.
• Discussion of gutter cover removal to assess the extent and cost of concrete repairs.

This site briefing will ensure accurate scoping of works and help avoid additional funding requests during the project.

A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.

Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
