This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by WasteNet Southland as a Joint Committee of Gore District Council (GDC), Invercargill City Council (ICC), and Southland District Council (SDC)
Two major waste service contracts for the Southland Region are due to expire in 2027:
• Contract 550 Kerbside Collection and Transfer Station Services - Expires 30 June 2027.
• Contract 1057 Recyclables Acceptance Contract – Expires 30 June 2027.
This is the initial early market engagement stage of the potential future procurement process. The intention is to use this RFI to identify interested parties who may participate in a future Request for Proposal (RFP) process and to collect feedback on existing and potential services.
