The procurement is to engage a civil works contractor to deliver 3 crossings along Daniels Pt Rd within Jilliby State Conservation Area to restore accessibility and reduce ongoing maintenance.

Project goals

This procurement action is required to repair 3 x crossings which were badly damaged resulting from recent rainfall events on the Central Coast. The works will restore accessibility to the fire trail network within this precinct of Jilliby State Conservation Area (SCA) by providing safe and trafficable water crossings allowing effective reserve management in accordance with the Watagans NP & Jilliby SCA.

Scope

NPWS is looking to engage a suitably qualified civil contractor to undertake all construction works, including supply to deliver 3 crossings on Daniels Pt Rd in Jilliby SCA. This includes site preparation including the establishment of necessary environmental controls, demolition and removal of existing infrastructure, cut to fill earthworks and imported fill to prepare the site to the necessary levels to receive the works and the supply and installation of:

- 1 x 12m bridge including piers, abutments and approach slabs via a combination of pre-cast components and in-situ formwork, reinforcement, pour methodology.

- 1 x culvert crossing

- 1 x rock-lined ford / causeway
