Tender Description

Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ) delivers the PHN program within the Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast region, guided by its vision to 'support our region to live their healthiest lives'. CCQ is dedicated to enhancing resilience of primary healthcare and communities amidst a changing climate and disasters through strategic planning, targeted programs, and robust partnerships.

The Resilient Care Program aims to protect and promote health of target communities amidst the changing climate and increasing disaster risks. By strengthening primary healthcare and community resilience, CCQ seeks to optimise the role of primary care in safeguarding health and improving the overall wellbeing of the region.

To accelerate these efforts, CCQ is launching the RAPID Resilient Care Initiative (RAPID), designed to jumpstart the Resilient Care Program by delivering immediate impacts while establishing a foundation for sustained long-term action. RAPID amplifies the objectives of the broader Resilient Care Program by:

- Enhancing stakeholders' knowledge of climate and health risks and opportunities specific to the target areas

- Enhancing the resilience of primary healthcare and communities to climate and disaster risks

- Promoting and protecting health and wellbeing of populations at higher risk and vulnerability

- Promoting healthy ageing and supporting vaccination initiatives.

- Strengthening primary care's capacity to protect and promote health during crises.

CCQ invites proposals from qualified providers or consortia to design and implement RAPID across five Local Government Areas: Livingstone, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, and Fraser Coast. The scope of work includes:

- Conducting health and disaster resilience assessments

- Mapping and engaging stakeholders, including primary healthcare providers and communities

- Building capacity to respond to climate-related health risks and disasters

- Co-designing practical solutions to deliver "quick wins" in resilience-building.
