The extent of the works is approximately 400m of 2.6m x 2.6m box drain (culvert) below Coolah Terrace in Marion, which discharges into the Sturt Channel. The culvert is a live drain with a large catchment. The drain has areas of spalled concrete with exposed reinforcement. Rather than patch the defects, the works are to construct a reinforced concrete lining to the walls and roof of the drain, sprayed concrete techniques are anticipated. The existing surfaces require cleaning, removal of loose concrete and corrosion from exposed reinforcement beforehand. The drain is considered a confined space, and all necessary permits and precautions must be taken. Existing access is from the outlet at the Sturt Channel and a junction box in Coolah Terrace.

Tender close is end January 2025, with a Tender Site Briefing in mid-January 2024.
