Queensland Rail Ltd (Queensland Rail) is one of Australia’s largest rail transport providers. As an integrated rail business with more than 150 years of operational experience, serving the freight, tourism and passenger markets, it provides safe passenger services within the Brisbane metropolitan area and key regional centres throughout the State of Queensland.

In line with Queensland Rail’s safety vision statement “Safety Comes First. Always.”, Queensland Rail is committed to the highest level of safety for its customers, staff and properties across its network.

Queensland Rail is calling tenders for Queensland Rail Alternate Customer Transport Services (ACTS). The purpose of this tender is to establish a panel of long-distance coach providers that Queensland Rail will utilise as required to provide ACTS.

With the current panel expiring on 1 August 2025, there is a requirement to establish a replacement panel to meet Queensland Rail’s ongoing requirements.

COACH SERVICES

Unplanned Travel Network Service Disruptions - The Panel Contractors may be required to supply coach services as requested by Queensland Rail from time to time for unplanned service disruptions e.g. rollingstock failures, infrastructure failures, force majeure events, etc. These services could be required at short notice to cover movement of customers.

Planned Travel Network Service Disruptions - The Panel Contractors may be required to supply coach services as requested by Queensland Rail to support planned service disruptions. The coach services required will be advised in advance and with a minimum of seven (7) days’ notice to cover movement of customers due to disruption of train services as a result of a planned service disruption, e.g. track possessions for maintenance, project work, etc.

METHOD OF SUBMISSION

Tenderers are required to submit their responses via Ariba Sourcing. Hardcopy, emailed responses or submissions via VendorPanel will not be accepted.

Late tender responses will not be accepted. Tenderers must ensure that they allow sufficient time to upload their tender response before the tender closing time.
