Requirements

The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) is delivering a Change Program which commenced in 2021 and is tasked with delivering a large scale ICT development program supporting numerous environmental initiatives. The Change Program is being delivered using the SAFe methodology and our Agile Release Train is currently commencing Program Increment 25.

The Change Program is facilitated by the Transformation Office (TO) which plays a critical role in supporting the definition, ongoing management and governance of the program. The Digital Services Branch (DSB) is responsible for the technical delivery for the Change Program.

CER is seeking an experienced SAFe Agile Coach to provide advice and support to further uplift our agile maturity and facilitate effective collaboration between the TO and DSB.

Services will be required for up to 16 hours per week to provide expertise to CER executive, key managers, ART leadership and scrum teams.

Services will include but not be limited to:

  • Mentoring CER staff around SAFe ways of working and driving program outcomes.
  • Providing trusted advice on strategies to achieve overall objectives, with particular emphasis on aligning delivery with governance and assurance.
  • Supporting a productive and collaborative working relationship between the TO and DSB.
  • Reviewing and providing recommendations around ways of working across operational and strategic functions with a focus on minimising blockers for delivery teams.
  • Increasing flow from portfolio strategy to delivery.

The proposed contract term is until 30 June 2025 with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

Specified personnel will be required to hold and maintain a minimum Baseline security clearance. The clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working in a SAFe environment.
  • Demonstrated experience as a SAFe coach.
  • Proven experience providing advice to Senior Executives, ART leadership and Scrum teams.
  • Proven SAFe qualifications.
  • Preference for the services to be delivered in ACT though not mandatory.
